BRISTOL, Tenn., Nov. 9 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- King Pharmaceuticals,
Inc. (NYSE: KG) today reported that the Company intends to file a Form 12b-25
with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission ("SEC") providing for a five
calendar-day extension for submitting its Form 10-Q for the quarter ended
September 30, 2004. As previously announced, King is in the process of
evaluating its historical reserve for returns of the Company's products.
Although King currently intends to file its Form 10-Q on Monday, November 15,
2004, it is possible that the Company will not complete its returns reserve
evaluation in time to file within the extension period.
