SAN JOSE, Calif., Nov. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Hello Direct, Inc., a leading
developer and business-to-business direct marketer of desktop telephony and
equipment interface products and Verizon Wireless Messaging Services announced
today that customers will have improved access to the world of wireless
communications via an online merchandizing program that teams the new T900
Talkabout 2-way Personal Information Communicator with Verizon Wireless
Messaging Services' iWrite service. The new package will be promoted online
by Hello Direct ( http://www.hellodirect.com ).
"Hellodirect.com has become an essential activity center for individuals
seeking answers to their telecommunications needs. And, while wireless
communications is rapidly becoming one of the fastest growing segments in the
industry today, it is often difficult for customers to master the learning
curve. This merchandising program allows customers a one-stop shopping
experience, providing clear and simple access to the best wireless technology
available today," said Ron Becht, Hello Direct's Vice President for product
marketing.
Verizon's iWrite service enables users to send and receive wireless email
messages, and provides access to push and pull information services for
up-to-date market, news, weather, sports, and horoscope information.
Verizon's wireless service through MyAirMail.com allows users to personalize
their T900 device to send and receive messages to a name, not a number. The
T900 is a compact, flip-top device with a keyboard, lighted display and
includes an address book that stores up to 250 entries.
Hello Direct will extensively promote the T900 and Verizon Wireless
Messaging Services via several online channels, including banner advertising,
and its own twice monthly electronic newsletter, Newswire. The site will
bring interested customers directly to the specific product features within
the HelloDirect.com online catalog. Hello Direct will also link customers to
recent industry news and editorial on the product through its editorial
affiliates and in-house editorial staff.
"We're pleased to have Hello Direct, Inc. as an online partner. The
Motorola T900 is a great device that allows you to go wireless with your
email, and Verizon Wireless Messaging Services' iWrite service makes it easy
to send wireless messages to people, not places," states Bill Byers, Director,
National Retail Sales for Verizon Wireless Messaging Services.
