Raytheon Awarded Spares, Repairs and Modifications Contract Potentially Worth $350 Million

    RESTON, Va., Nov. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Raytheon Company (NYSE: RTN) has been
awarded a contract from Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC)
to provide spares, repairs, modifications, and support to the U.S. Air Force's
Air Logistics Centers under the Flexible Acquisition and Sustainment Tool
(FAST) contract. With a contract ceiling of $7.4 billion, FAST is the Air
Force's new multiple-award, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract
designed to provide for the sustainment of Air Force managed weapon systems,
support systems, subsystems and components.
    The SAIC team was one of six awarded the FAST contract. SAIC's award, with
a ceiling in excess of $1 billion, includes a five-year base period and two
one-year options. Raytheon's total awards over the life of the subcontract are
anticipated to be up to $350 million.
    Under the contract, Raytheon will provide systems engineering, logistics
support, technical services, modifications, and spares and repair services.
Tasks will include systems integration, installation, testing, certification,
studies and analysis, product data management, configuration management, and
logistics support analysis. While Raytheon Technical Services Company (RTSC)
is leading the effort, it is a combined Raytheon activity representing five
businesses: Aircraft Integration Systems; Command, Control, Communication and
Information Systems; Electronic Systems; Raytheon Aircraft Company; and RTSC.

    The FAST contract will be available for use at all three of the Air Force
Air Logistics Centers: Warner Robins, Ga., Oklahoma City, Okla., and Ogden,
Utah.
