SAN MATEO, Calif., Nov. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- E.piphany (Nasdaq: EPNY) today
announced that Australian energy company ENERGEX has selected E.piphany
software to drive its customer acquisition and profitability initiatives,
projecting a dramatic increase in overall customer value over the next three
years. E.piphany Marketing, a solution within E.piphany's intelligent Customer
Relationship Management (CRM) suite, will help ENERGEX Retail generate
additional revenue by accurately cross-selling new products. The E.piphany
solution will also reduce campaign costs and improve competitiveness in
Australia's deregulated energy industry.
ENERGEX signed as an E.piphany customer in the third quarter of 2001, and
full deployment of E.piphany Marketing at ENERGEX is scheduled for
December 2001. With E.piphany's CRM software, ENERGEX Retail will be able to
analyze consolidated customer information across multiple touch points and
perform customer segmentation based on customer lifetime value and
profitability analysis. The new system will also enable ENERGEX to plan and
execute
multi-channel, multi-step segmented sales campaigns in a more effective
manner, which will result in higher campaign productivity.
E.piphany's alliance partner KPMG Consulting is working with ENERGEX to
implement an E.piphany solution that meets the utility's unique business
requirements.
According to KPMG Consulting CRM practice leader, Dino Gelmetti, "Our
long-standing work for ENERGEX has provided us with a detailed understanding
of the company's business requirements. Our role is to combine this
understanding with our proven implementation methodologies and knowledge of
the E.piphany product, in order to implement a seamless solution for ENERGEX."
ENERGEX Retail's Group Manager of Sales and Marketing, Peter Ffrench
agrees that seamless integration of the chosen intelligent CRM and Campaign
Management solution and the existing ENERGEX systems was a fundamental part of
the decision-making process.
"The E.piphany solution not only provided us with this smooth transition,
it also has the ability to take our marketing activities to the next level
-- exactly where we need to be," said Mr. Ffrench.
Currently operating as a premises, or location-centric service
organization, ENERGEX aims to re-direct its business focus onto the customer.
"Through customer segmentation and implementation of our 'customer value
strategy' we believe we can offer a truly differentiated and relevant value
proposition to our customers. The E.piphany Marketing solution will allow us
to gain true customer insight and thus develop a stronger and more effective
relationship with the customer," said Mr. Ffrench.
The E.piphany Marketing solution allows organizations to plan, execute,
and analyze multi-channel campaigns with the objective of acquiring new
customers, retaining those they already have, and employing cross-sell and
up-sell campaigns to increase share of wallet.
ENERGEX joins Racing Victoria, Suncorp Metway, Informatel and Premier
Technologies on E.piphany's growing list of Australian clients.
