Senior Vice President and Head of the Company's Residential Management
Department. Mr. Gray will have overall management responsibility for all
leasing and property operations of Smith Residential's multifamily portfolio,
which currently includes 20,000 units owned by the Company, 3,500 units
managed for third parties, and 3,400 units under construction in the Company's
development pipeline.
Mr. Gray has an extensive multifamily real estate management background,
including ten years with Summit Properties, Inc., where he was President of
the Management Company, and previously with the Lincoln Property Company. At
Summit he had total management responsibility for leasing and property
operations of a multifamily portfolio that grew to over 20,000 units under his
management. At Lincoln he was a Regional Vice President with responsibility
for development, acquisition and property management. Mr. Gray replaces a long
term executive who has retired.
