Boston Properties, Inc. Names Senior Vice President For Financial and Capital Markets

    BOSTON, Nov. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Boston Properties, Inc. (NYSE: BXP), a
self-managed and self-advised real estate investment trust (REIT), announced
today that Douglas T. Linde, 35, has been appointed to the newly created
position of Senior Vice President for Financial and Capital Markets.  Mr.
Linde will be responsible for all capital raising for the Company.  In
addition, his responsibilities will include financial strategy, planning and
acquisitions.
    Mr. Linde has played a key role in Boston Properties' acquisition program,
including the purchase and financing of Prudential Center in Boston,
Embarcadero Center in San Francisco, the Landis portfolio in New Jersey,
University Place in Cambridge, Mass. and Reservoir Place in Waltham, Mass.
    Mr. Linde joined Boston Properties in January 1997 as Vice President to
help identify and execute acquisitions and new business opportunities.  Prior
to joining the Company, Mr. Linde was President of Capstone Investments, a
Boston real estate investment company.  From 1989 to 1993, he was at Wright
Runstad and Company, a private real estate developer in Seattle, Wash., as a
project manager and assistant to the chief financial officer.  He began his
career in the real estate industry in the Salomon Brothers Real Estate Finance
Group.  Mr. Linde holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a bachelor's
degree from Wesleyan University.
