Name reflects commitment to cutting-edge technology, e-based solutions for
credit unions
MOUNDS VIEW, Minn., Nov. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Cavion Plus. That's the new
name of the recently merged Liberty Internet Services and CUNA Network
Services ("CNS").
The two companies announced their merger in August. Cavion Plus serves
credit unions with a comprehensive range of Internet-enabled products and
services.
"We believe our new name and logo truly represent our vision and
commitment," said Michael Provenzano, Cavion Plus chief executive officer.
"First, we are emphasizing Cavion's positive reputation in the marketplace as
a technology innovator and a quality provider.
"The Plus in the name represents the vital importance of Liberty Online,
the top Web-site provider to credit unions, and CUNA Strategic Services, Inc.
Plus also stands for our many strategic partnerships, and the unlimited
opportunities the new organization brings to the marketplace."
The new company's logo also features "e-business essentials" and the
designation "a Liberty company."
"If a credit union is looking for ways to expand their electronic
offerings to become more efficient and competitive, Cavion Plus has the
essential products, services and support to provide them that opportunity,"
Provenzano said. "Liberty is Cavion Plus' parent organization, so customers
can count on receiving the same level of top-quality products and support that
they've become accustomed to from Liberty and from CNS.
"The same sound business practices that have driven both Liberty and CNS
over the years are at the core of Cavion Plus. Customers served by both
organizations can be confident they'll receive top-quality service. "
Stan Hollen, Liberty president and chief executive officer and chairman of
the Cavion Plus board of directors, echoed Provenzano's comments.
"Cavion Plus has Liberty's full and enthusiastic support," Hollen said.
"We're proud to be able to provide credit unions with cutting-edge electronic
solutions based on Liberty's solid foundation of credit union commitment. The
company will offer more and better choices for Web site hosting, Internet
banking, bill payment, lending, compliance, Internet security and other
services."
Former CNS Chairman Juri Valdov, now a member of the Cavion Plus board and
vice chairman of CUNA & Affiliates, described the new organization as a
"unique business partnership" that effectively meets the needs of credit
unions of all sizes.
"Partnerships like this strengthen the credit union movement," Valdov
said. "Cavion Plus combines the strengths of two credit union-focused
organizations: CUNA, a top trade association, and Liberty, a leading credit
union-focused company. The result is a service provider that is dedicated to
providing e-based solutions to credit unions. It's truly a special and
powerful partnership."
Hollen and Valdov lead the seven-member Cavion Plus board of directors.
Provenzano directs the Cavion Plus management team. Joining Provenzano are:
Brennan Baas, client services; John Hobko, business development; Jeff
Marshall, technology; and John Mattes, product development and marketing.
Liberty first entered the Internet business in 1998 when it established
Liberty Online. The company is now the credit union movement's top provider
of Web development and hosting services. Liberty expanded its technology
presence in February 2001 when it purchased the former Cavion Technologies.
The acquisition ensured uninterrupted service to Cavion Technologies' clients.
Provenzano said the Cavion Plus mission statement sums up the goals of the
new company: "Exceeding customer expectations with world-class employees,
products and support."
