Flashline CMEE Integrates with IBM WebSphere Studio Application Developer

              Web services-based integration speeds development

CLEVELAND and BOSTON, Nov. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT
CONFERENCE AND EXPO, Booth 311 -- Flashline(R) today announced the
availability of an adapter that seamlessly integrates Flashline Component
Manager(R), Enterprise Edition (CMEE) with IBM WebSphere* Studio Developer
Tools. The integration creates a single environment to build, test and deploy
Java applications by leveraging existing software assets including Web
services and components.
The adapter makes use of Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP) and
eXtensible Markup Language (XML), providing users the ability to search for,
extract and submit assets directly to CMEE without leaving WebSphere Studio
Developer Tools. As a result, WebSphere Studio Developer Tools users can more
easily locate and leverage existing software assets, increasing productivity
and improving software quality.
"We're pleased that Flashline has joined the growing number of software
development tool providers who have enabled for WebSphere. This provides
customers with a wide choice of application development technologies for use
in developing and deploying their e-business applications," said Tim
McCrimmon, Program Director, WebSphere Studio Marketing, IBM. "Working with
IBM WebSphere, Flashline can help organizations transform their core business
processes to become sophisticated e-businesses."
WebSphere Studio Developer Tools are built upon Eclipse, an open platform
for e-business integration and development. Flashline developed the WebSphere
Studio Developer Tools adapter for CMEE with support for Eclipse, allowing
users to directly access CMEE from the WebSphere Studio Developer Tools menu
structure. The adapter also serves as the basis for integration with other
Eclipse-based applications, such as Rational XDE.
"Flashline has created the WebSphere Studio Developer Tools adapter as
part of our ongoing commitment to support leading IDEs and integrate with
existing development environments. WebSphere Studio Developer Tools provide a
robust, standards-based environment for building, testing and deploying Java-
based applications," stated Cathy Lippert, vice president of product
management for Flashline. "This adapter creates a truly integrated, powerful
environment by leveraging Web services standards and the Eclipse platform to
integrate CMEE and WebSphere Studio Developer Tools. The solution places
software assets close at hand and directly within the developer's everyday
work environment, increasing the ability to successfully reuse assets in their
development efforts."
Flashline will demonstrate CMEE's integration with WebSphere Studio
Developer Tools during the Software Development Conference and Expo at Booth
311.
