WHAT: On Tuesday, November 26, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater
Los Angeles and the Inland Empire will be presented $10,000
and 20 tickets to the Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade as part
of the Ralphs Club/Whiskas "You Could Win the Ultimate Tournament
of Roses Experience" sweepstakes held in November in all Ralphs
stores in Southern California. Tim Hackett, Associate Director
of Development and Marketing for Big Brothers Big Sisters, will
be presented with the $10,000 donation at a special award
presentation at Ralphs Miracle Mile supermarket on Tuesday. The
donation will be used to support the Big Bothers Big Sisters
High5 Mentoring program, which provides at-risk youth with
support and guidance while they are waiting for a Big Brother or
Big Sister of their own.

Representatives from Ralphs and Whiskas parent company, Masterfoods USA,
will present a "giant check" to Mr. Hackett and several Big Brothers and
Big Sisters and their "Littles."
BACKGROUND:
The donation to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Los Angeles and the
Inland Empire culminates the Ralphs Club/Whiskas "You Could Win the
Ultimate Tournament of Roses Experience" sweepstakes. The sweepstakes
ran in all Ralphs stores in Southern California in November. Shoppers
purchasing Whiskas cat food products with their Ralphs Club Cards were
automatically entered in the sweepstakes promotion with the grand prize
winner receiving tickets to the Rose Bowl game and a ride on the Whiskas
Rose Parade float.
