Builds on strong sales & income growth at Graco global business unit
ATLANTA, Nov. 26, 2007 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Newell Rubbermaid
(NYSE: NWL) today announced that Jay D. Gould, president of the company's
Graco(R) global business unit, has been promoted to group president of the
Home & Family segment. Newell Rubbermaid's Home & Family segment includes
the Graco, Calphalon(R) and Goody(R) global business units. Gould, age 48,
succeeds Timothy J. Jahnke, who, as previously announced, is leaving Newell
Rubbermaid to become chief executive officer at another company.
"Jay has built significant organizational capability while delivering
strong sales and income growth since assuming responsibility for our baby
and parenting business," said Mark Ketchum, Newell Rubbermaid's president
and chief executive officer. "His extensive track record in brand-building

Before joining Newell Rubbermaid in May 2006, Gould held senior
marketing and general management roles at The Campbell Soup Co., The
Coca-Cola Co. and General Mills Inc. He holds an MBA from Harvard
University and a BA in Economics from the University of Dayton.
In addition to his new Home & Family segment responsibilities, Gould
will remain president of the Graco global business unit until a successor
is named.
