ZONARE Announces Another Milestone at Radiology Society of North America

Fastest Growing Ultrasound Company Reaches 500 Worldwide Convertible
                   Ultrasound(TM) Platform Installations

CHICAGO, Nov. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- ZONARE Medical Systems, a developer of
next generation ultrasound technology, announced at the annual Radiology
Society of North America (RSNA) meeting being held November 25 - December
1, 2006 that the company has reached 500 worldwide installations of its
z.one ultrasound system, marking another milestone for ZONARE. Based on
revolutionary Zone Sonography(TM) technology, the z.one system is the
world's first and only Convertible Ultrasound(TM) platform. Sales of the
system have been doubling approximately every six months since shipments
began in Spring of 2005.
"It's very understandable why ZONARE is the fastest growing ultrasound
company in the market today," said Michael Racenstein, MD, attending
radiologist for Rush North Shore and past president of the Chicago
Radiology Society. "This revolutionary technology provides an incredible
price to value ratio. We are extremely impressed with the z.one system due
to its convertibility from a full-cart to a compact, portable system
without image compromise. In fact, we traded in a one-year old system from
another manufacturer because the z.one fulfilled our needs far better."
Zone Sonography technology has allowed ZONARE Medical Systems to bring
the first Convertible Ultrasound platform to the industry with superb image
quality at a substantial price to value ratio. Clinicians are able to
instantly convert the z.one platform from a full-featured, cart-based
system into a premium compact, ultrasound system with all the performance
of substantially larger and more expensive ultrasound units, yet, with
greater portability and clinical flexibility than conventional compact
systems.
    The z.one platform's Zone Sonography software-based architecture
ensures that its performance will increase as improvements in processing
power become available. This allows for fast, convenient upgrades in
clinical capabilities, keeping clinicians at the forefront of diagnostic
capabilities as well as protecting their investment. Software upgrades can
be downloaded via the internet, another industry first.
"As the power of Zone Sonography technology propels significant
advances in the performance of the z.one system, acceptance of ZONARE's
Convertible Ultrasound platform are growing exponentially," said Donald
Southard, president and CEO of ZONARE. "We believe this highly scaleable
technology brings an exceptional value to the clinician, both economically
and clinically. We look forward to the ongoing growth of worldwide z.one
system installations."
ZONARE field personnel have doubled during the past year and are
located throughout North America, Europe and Asia. In addition, there are
more than 25 distributors located in Latin America, Asia, North America,
UK, Europe, Middle East and the Mediterranean.
According to The Medical Diagnostic Ultrasound Market in the USA
published in April of 2006, which covers annual industry trends, ZONARE's
z.one system is the beginning of a new wave of convertible systems. The
report is published annually by the ultrasound industry's leading analyst,
Harvey Klein of Klein Biomedical Consultants.
