PITTSBURGH, Nov. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Westinghouse Electric Company today
announced the appointment of Richard A. Gabbianelli as vice president,
Finance.
In this role, Mr. Gabbianelli will be responsible for financial
operations functions and will lead risk-assessment efforts related to major
acquisitions, projects and contracts. In addition, he will manage corporate
contract execution for company-wide contracts and will act as
Westinghouse's primary internal control officer, directing internal audits
and Japan Financial Instruments and Exchange Law (J-Sox) activities. He
also will have responsibility for the company's external audit
relationships.
Mr. Gabbianelli reports to Kazumasa Uchida, Westinghouse senior vice
president and chief finance officer.
Mr. Gabbianelli has been with Westinghouse for 11 years. Most recently
he was vice president of Strategy and Finance for the company's Nuclear
Services business unit.
Mr. Gabbianelli holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from the
University of Notre Dame and a master's degree in business administration
from the University of Iowa. He is a certified public accountant.
