TUCSON, Ariz., Nov. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Wavetech International, Inc.
(OTC Bulletin Board: ITEL) announced today that A. Chris Lang and Rosnani Atan
have been appointed to the Company's Board of Directors. Lang and Atan are
officers of Softalk, Inc, an established telecommunications and web-based
software development company, based in Toronto, Canada. Earlier this year,
Wavetech signed a licensing agreement with Softalk, Inc. that included the
build-out of an Internet Protocol network based on a proprietary system
designed and installed by Softalk, Inc.
Lang founded Softalk in 1993 and currently serves as President. He has
designed some of the company's proprietary web-based Internet Telephony
products currently in use in North America and Southeast Asia. Working in the
telecommunications industry for 22 years, he has held various positions with
Bell Canada, Rockwell International Switching Division and Telecom Consulting
Services. He holds a B.A. in Economics from Carlton University.
Atan is currently Chief Executive Officer of Softalk, Inc. Prior to
joining Softalk, Atan gained extensive telecommunications experience with
companies including Andersen Worldwide, S.C., Singapore, Keppel Corporation
Limited and Nikko Electronic Toy Pte Ltd. Atan has a B.S. in Information
Technology from Monash University, Melbourne, Australia, and a B.S. in
Engineering from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.
