CHICAGO, Nov. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Burns International Security Services
Corporation, a subsidiary of Burns International Services Corporation
(NYSE: BOR), announced the appointment of T. David Cairns as managing director
of its U.K. operations, effective December 1, 1999. He replaces Martin
Rackstraw who has resigned. In this capacity, he will be responsible for the
company's overall security services operations in England, Scotland, Wales and
Ireland. He will report to John D. O'Brien, president.
Prior to this appointment, Cairns served as director of operations and
development for Reliance Security Services in the United Kingdom. From 1978
to 1992, he worked for the Schlumberger Corporation as worldwide asset
manager. He holds a B.S. degree in mechanical engineering from Queen's
University in Belfast.
