TD Waterhouse Partners With Verizon Wireless For Premier Placement on the Verizon Wireless Mobile Web On-Line Trading Menu

            TD Waterhouse Customers in the U.S. Can Access Account
                          and Financial Information

    NEW YORK, Nov. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- TD Waterhouse Group, Inc.
(NYSE: TWE; TSE), the global online financial services firm, today announced
that it has entered an agreement where its TD Waterhouse Wireless service will
be chosen by Verizon Wireless as the premier selection on their Mobile Web
On-Line Trading menu.
    Verizon Wireless Mobile Web subscribers will have easy, convenient access
to TD Waterhouse Wireless through their web-ready phones, as well as access to
a multitude of information, including quotes, charts, market indices and news
headlines.  TD Waterhouse customers in the U.S. will have access to additional
services including free unlimited, real-time quotes and quote lists, full
company news, account access and order entry.
    "Our selection by Verizon Wireless, the largest wireless carrier in the
U.S., for premier placement on their Mobile Web On-Line Trading menu makes our
service even more convenient for both current and prospective customers," said

    TD Waterhouse's partnership with Verizon Wireless is part of a larger
global wireless investing initiative enabling customers in the U.S., Canada,
the U.K., and Hong Kong to invest wirelessly through web-ready phones.
    This partnership supports two of TD Waterhouse's strategic initiatives:
growing the firm's core business through expanding products and services, as
well as leveraging technology to improve the customer experience.
    Brokerage commissions will be reflected in a customer's TD Waterhouse
account.
