American Eagle Outfitters, Inc. (Nasdaq: AEOS) today announced total sales for
the four weeks ended November 25, 2000 increased 33.7% to a record
$112.1 million from $83.9 million for the four-week period ended November 27,
1999. Same store sales for the 2000 period increased 13.4% compared to the
corresponding four-week period last year. This compares to a 12.2% same store
increase in November 1999.
Sales for the forty-three week period ended November 25, 2000 increased
24.0% to $781.9 million from $630.6 million for the forty-three week period
ended November 27, 1999. Same store sales for the 2000 period rose 4.3%
compared to the corresponding forty-three week period last year.
