    BILLERICA, Mass., Nov. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Peritus Software Services
(Nasdaq: PTUS) announced today that Mastech Corporation (Nasdaq: MAST) has
agreed to license the Peritus Automate:2000(R) service technologies.  This
license, along with Mastech's SmartAPPS 2000 methodology, will enhance
Mastech's ability to automate the Year 2000 renovation of mainframe COBOL for
existing clients.
