Detroit Diesel Remanufacturing Corporation Strengthens Leadership Team with New General Manager

DETROIT, MI UNITED STATES
    DETROIT, Nov. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Detroit Diesel Remanufacturing
Corporation today announced the appointment of Jesus Gomez as general manager
of Detroit Diesel Remanufacturing - Mexicana in Toluca, Mexico.  In this
position, Gomez is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the
remanufacturing facility.

experience to his new role as the head of our Reman operations in Mexico,"

    Prior to his current role, Gomez served as director of operations for DDR
- Mexicana.  This position included responsibility for Operations, Materials,
and Quality.  Before joining DDR - Mexicana in March 2005, Gomez managed the
Custom Engineering Powertrain Design group for Sterling Truck Corporation.
    In 1997, Gomez transferred to Freightliner LLC headquarters in Portland,
Oregon, in the Electro-Mechanical Chassis Engineering group.  This assignment
was followed by several other assignments in Design Engineering, Manufacturing
Electrical-Electronics Engineering and Custom Engineering.  During his tenure
in Portland he was heavily involved with Powertrain Systems for Freightliner,
Sterling and Western Star Trucks.
    Gomez began his career with DaimlerChrysler in 1994 as a prototype
specialist implementing new designs and design changes to Freightliner trucks
and Mercedes-Benz cars at the former Mercedes-Benz of Mexico operations,
located in Santiago Tianguistenco, Mexico.
    Gomez holds a bachelor's degree in Electrical - Mechanical Engineering
from the Toluca Institute of Technology and a master's degree in Business
Administration and Technology Management from the University of Phoenix.
