VIENNA, Va., May 6 /PRNewswire/ -- GRC International (NYSE: GRH) today
announced it has sold its Dynatup(R) materials testing business unit (formerly
known as GRC Instruments) to Instron Corp. (AMEX: ISN) for an undisclosed
amount of cash. Dynatup designs, manufactures and distributes destructive and
non- destructive materials testing products and services. For a brief
transition period, Instron will operate the Dynatup business from the current
Dynatup location in Santa Barbara, Calif.
GRC International President and CEO Jim Roth said, "This agreement
represents an important step toward the refocusing of GRC International on its
core information technology and professional services businesses. I am pleased
that we have been successful in identifying an appropriate buyer for this
business unit. We continue to pursue similar arrangements for our OSU(R) and
NetworkVUE(TM) telecommunications businesses as well as for our CIS/Flow
Gemini(TM) environmental software and our Vindicator(R) security products
