COLUMBUS, Ohio, May 7 /PRNewswire/ -- BANC ONE CORPORATION (NYSE: ONE),
A. William Crowley, Jr., Chief Credit Officer of BANC ONE CORPORATION,
announced that Robert L. Dickson has been appointed National Manager of
Commercial Loan Review, effective immediately.
    Dickson comes to BANC ONE CORPORATION from Dallas, Texas where he has been
Manager of the Southern Regional of BANC ONE's Loan Review since 1990.  Having
joined the predecessor of Bank One, Texas in 1983, he previously held
positions of manager of the Managed Assets Department in Fort Worth, Texas
and served as President of the company's affiliate bank in Euless, Texas.
Prior to joining Bank One, he served as an examiner with the Federal Deposit
Insurance Corporation for eight years.  He holds a Bachelor's degree in
history from the University of Missouri in Columbia and an MBA degree from the
University of Missouri in St. Louis.
    Crowley said that, "As BANC ONE completes reengineering and
standardization of the Corporation's commercial delivery process, the role of
Commercial Loan Review will be essential in providing all commercial unit
managers with timely feedback on the effectiveness of our new support units
and their impact on asset quality."
