WARRENDALE, Pa., Dec. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- American Eagle Outfitters, Inc.
(Nasdaq: AEOS) today announced total sales for the four fiscal weeks ended
November 27, 1999 increased 31.3% to $83.9 million from $63.9 million for the
four week period ended November 28, 1998. Comparable sales for the 1999
period were up 12.2% compared to the corresponding four week period last year.
Sales for the forty-three weeks ended November 27, 1999 were
$630.6 million compared to the $438.4 million for the forty-three week period
last year, an increase of 43.8%. Comparable store sales for the forty-three
weeks ended November 27, 1999 increased 22.8% compared to the corresponding
forty-three week period ended November 28, 1998.
