New 2.3GB External SCSI Magneto-Optical Drive Supports DICOM(R) Approved 2.3GB

CHICAGO, Dec. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Fujitsu Computer Products of America, Inc.
(FCPA), a leading provider of removable storage solutions, today expanded its
reach in the medical imaging marketplace with the introduction of the
DynaMO(R) 2300 SCSI Magneto-Optical (MO) drive at the Radiological Society of
North America (RSNA) 2003 Conference and Exposition. Fujitsu's DynaMO 2300
SCSI MO drive uses 3.5" 2.3GB Magneto-Optical Disks (MOD) which were recently
approved by the Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM).
The Fujitsu DynaMO 2300 SCSI external MO drive features a high-speed
SCSI-2 interface allowing for convenient drive connectivity. Medical imaging
professionals and integrators can now utilize low cost DICOM approved MOD's
offering up to 2.3GB of data for storage and interchange of medical images
such as ultrasound studies. Fujitsu's DynaMO 2300 SCSI drive offers a
cost-effective alternative to current 5.25" inch MOD's commonly used in
medical applications today. Additionally, the Fujitsu DynaMO(R) 2300 SCSI
external drive is backward-compatible with 1.3GB, 640 MB, 540 MB, and 230 MB
3.5-inch MOD's, which medical imaging professionals have used for the past 10
years.

The DynaMO 2300 SCSI drive is priced at $329 and will be available in the
United States through Fujitsu's authorized distributors in January 2004.
Fujitsu's 2.3GB MOD's are priced at $20 dollars per disk when purchased in a
