WARRENDALE, Pa., Dec. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- American Eagle Outfitters, Inc.
(Nasdaq: AEOS) today announced total sales for the four fiscal weeks ended
November 28, 1998, increased 39.1% to $63.9 million from $45.9 million for the
four week period ended November 29, 1997. Comparable sales for the 1998
period were up 24.8% compared to the corresponding four week period last year.
Sales for the forty-three weeks ended November 28, 1998, were
$438.4 million compared to $297.9 million for the forty-three week period last
year, an increase of 47.1%. Comparable store sales for the forty-three weeks
ended November 28, 1998, increased 35.3%, compared to the corresponding
forty-three week period ended November 29, 1997.
American Eagle Outfitters, Inc. is a specialty retailer of all-American,
