ExxonMobil Launches Advertising Campaign to Announce New Company

IRVING, Texas, Dec. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Exxon Mobil Corporation (NYSE: XOM)
has launched a global advertising campaign announcing the completion of the
ExxonMobil merger. The campaign communicates ExxonMobil's readiness to take
its place as an industry leader in almost every aspect of the worldwide
petroleum and petrochemicals business. The campaign, developed by DDB New
York, will reach ExxonMobil's audiences worldwide through a global print,
broadcast and internet campaign.
"Our objective is to be the world's premier petroleum and petrochemical
company -- one that will be able to distinguish itself in terms of its unique
abilities and performance," said Ken Cohen, vice president of ExxonMobil
Public Affairs. "While this advertising campaign emphasizes more than
200 years of ExxonMobil experience, we also want our customers, shareholders,
business partners and host governments to know that we're ready to begin a new
era that capitalizes on the combined talents and assets which make this a
vital new company."
The ExxonMobil ads highlight the company's experience in the industry and
its resources -- human, financial and technological -- which will allow the
company to compete for opportunities in the competitive global oil and
chemical business even more effectively than its parent companies did.
The advertising campaign will run in the United States and pan-regionally
in Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Latin America and Africa. Print ads will
run internationally in newspapers and magazines, including Newsweek, TIME, the
New York Times, USA Today, the Financial Times, the Wall Street Journal, the
Economist, the Far Eastern Economic Review, Africa Today and the Middle
Eastern Economic Digest, as well as in major market newspapers.
Television commercials, which complement the print ads, will run as
15-second spots airing on business and financial programming. Television
properties include CNN, CNNI, CNBC, the BBC and the Arabic networks JSC, MBC
and LBC.
Internet advertisements will appear on a wide variety of business
and financial sites, including CBS Marketwatch (http://www.cbsmarketwatch.com),
Dow Jones/WSJ interactive (http://www.dowjones.wsj.com), and The Street.com
(http://www.thestreet.com).
