Raytheon Selected to Provide System Installations for U.S. Navy

    RESTON, Va., Dec. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Raytheon Company (NYSE: RTNA, RTNB)
has been selected by the U.S. Navy's Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center
Charleston to provide integration and installation services for the command,
control, communications, computer and intelligence (C4I) systems under the
U.S. Navy's Consolidated Ship/Shore Installations (CSSI) contract. CSSI is a
competitively-issued, multiple-award, indefinite-delivery indefinite-quantity
(IDIQ,) task order contract worth up to an aggregate of $456 million.
    As one of three awardees on this five-year contract, which includes a one-
year base period valued at $75.6 million followed by four one-year options,
Raytheon will provide engineering, technical and logistics support for U.S.
Navy Atlantic Fleet and shore community C4I systems, including: equipment
acquisition, consolidated installation, systems and equipment modification,
test and checkout, and systems training and documentation preparation for
secure and non-secure electronic systems and subsystems. Work will be
performed in Charleston, S.C.; Norfolk, Va.; Mayport, Fla. and San Diego,
Calif.

    Raytheon has performed similar work for the U.S. Navy Pacific Fleet for
eight years at Raytheon facilities in Chula Vista, Calif., and Norfolk, Va.,
under the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center San Diego's Engineering,
Fabrication and Installation contract.
