IRVING, Texas, Dec. 5 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Commercial Metals
Company (NYSE: CMC), headquartered in Irving, Texas, announced today that
its subsidiary, Commercial Metals Deutschland GmbH, has established a
branch office located in Temse, Belgium. The office will operate as part of
CMC's Marketing & Distribution segment under the name CMC Cometals Europe
and will focus on marketing and distributing those industrial raw materials
handled by CMC Cometals of Fort Lee, New Jersey.
Eli Skornicki, president of CMC Cometals, said, "After having serviced
CMC Cometals for almost 15 years as an agent, we are pleased that Stefaan
Maes and Andy Smet will be joining the CMC family of companies and managing
the office. This change in structure will enable us to offer even more
