Web site for consumer decision-making, today announced that it has signed a
distribution and joint marketing agreement with pcOrder.com, Inc.,
(Nasdaq: PCOR), a leading provider of business-to-business electronic commerce
technology and content for the computer industry.
Under the terms of the agreement, pcOrder will offer Deja.com's
consumer-driven product ratings and reviews to its computer industry customers
as a value-added Web application to their ContentSource(TM) database, one of
the industry's largest collections of multi-vendor product information. The
pcOrder customer list includes beyond.com, Onsale.com, Compaq,
Yahoo!Shopping, and Dell Gigabuys.com. This relationship enables online
retailers to utilize one database for extensive marketing and technical
product data and consumer recommendations.
Additionally, Deja.com will integrate pcOrder's ContentSource into the
site's computing & technology and consumer electronics channels. This
marriage of information on the Deja.com site arms consumers with two powerful
tools for making smart, informed buying decisions -- comprehensive product
specifications and peer ratings and reviews, which educate shoppers about
other consumers' experiences with the specific products they are thinking
about buying.
