Guido Guidetti and Dan Bowman Join Company to Head Commercial Activities In
The United States and Europe; Key Operations Manager Promoted
SANTA CLARA, Calif., Dec. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Applied Imaging Corp.
(Nasdaq: AICX), the leading worldwide provider of automated scanning and
imaging systems for cancer and prenatal cytogenetics, announced today the
appointment of two diagnostic industry veterans to the company's management
team and the promotion of a key executive to the position of Vice President,
Operations.
Joining the company are Guido Guidetti as Vice President, International
and Dan Bowman as Vice President, the Americas. In these newly created roles,
Messrs. Guidetti and Bowman will each have responsibility for all commercial
activities of the company, including sales and customer support, in their
respective regions.

Previously, Mr. Guidetti was with International Murex Technologies as
Executive Director, Commercial Operations, a $100 million+ manufacturer of
clinical diagnostic products that was acquired by Abbott Laboratories. Mr.
Guidetti's extensive health care industry experience includes significant
commercial assignments with Abbott Laboratories and Johnson & Johnson.
Mr. Bowman was most recently Vice President, Sales for BioGenex, a
developer of automated immunohistochemistry and in situ hybridization
instrumentation. Mr. Bowman has over 10 years experience in sales, marketing
and general management in the diagnostic products industry with major
companies, including Idexx and Abbott Laboratories.
In addition, Padraig O'Kelly has been promoted to the position of Vice
President, Operations with responsibility for software product development for
all cytogenetic systems and for manufacturing operations in the United States
and the United Kingdom. Mr. O'Kelly has been with the company for 7 years and
has played a key role in the development and support of the company's
market-leading CytoVision product line.
