The new theater, set to open in fall 2004, will offer residents of
Downtown Orlando, Baldwin Park and surrounding neighborhoods a luxurious,
state-of-the-art movie-going experience: all-stadium seating, all-digital
sound and Central Florida's most comfortable movie seats.
"Construction will begin shortly after the first of the year, and the new
theater will open in fall 2004," said Tim Gully, Regional Vice President of
Retail Leasing for Colonial Properties Trust.
"Our shoppers have been telling us for some time that they would like to
have a movie complex within Orlando Fashion Square, and we're excited to be
able to offer this wonderful new amenity," explained Mary Lou Davis, Regional
Vice President and Manager of Orlando Fashion Square. "What makes this even
more exciting is that Premiere Cinemas offers movie-goers one of the nicest
cinema experiences in the industry. They truly know how to take care of their
customers, and they will be a tremendous complement to Fashion Square."
The new theater complex will offer features such as:
-- All-stadium seating -- Great views and more privacy.
-- All-digital surround sound -- All 12 auditoriums feature magnificent
DTS(TM) surround sound with massive subwoofers, multiple stage speakers, and
numerous surround speakers.
-- Central Florida's most comfortable seats -- All the chairs are extra-
soft high-back rocking love-seat chairs with retractable padded cup holder
armrests, lumbar supports, pillow supports, padded headrests and one of the
industry's quietest and softest rockers. Premiere unveiled this custom chair
in 2001 at a Houston-area complex and customers reportedly drive from as far
as 40 miles away just to experience it!
-- Grand promenade lobby -- A visually-stunning grand entrance will be
accessible both from the Mall interior and exterior.
-- Advanced ticketing -- Tickets can be purchased on-line, in advance at
kiosks located near the theater, at concession stands in the theater lobby or
at the box office.
"The vitality of the Central Florida marketplace, and in particular the
neighborhoods of downtown Orlando and Baldwin Park, compelled us to select the
Fashion Square location," explained Gary Moore, President and CEO of Premiere
Cinema Corporation. "Residents will have a fantastic combination of shopping
and entertainment, in addition to ample parking, within minutes of their
homes."
