San Mateo and East Palo Alto Stores to Celebrate Grand Openings
BRISBANE, Calif., Dec. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- THE GOOD GUYS! (Nasdaq: GGUY)
will celebrate the opening of two more stores in California. The first
opening is in San Mateo on Friday, December 11 with the unveiling of another
WOW! MULTIMEDIA SUPERSTORE, followed by an opening in East Palo Alto on
Friday, December 18 of an AUDIO/VIDEO EXPOSITION store. These openings follow
two successful grand openings just two weeks ago of an AUDIO/VIDEO EXPOSITION
store in Dublin and a WOW! MULTIMEDIA SUPERSTORE in Laguna Hills, both located
in California.

brand new East Palo Alto store will introduce an AUDIO/VIDEO EXPOSITION store
right in the heart of Silicon Valley."
AUDIO/VIDEO EXPOSITION stores demonstrate the convergence of audio, video,
communication and computer technologies. Within the non-traditional
environment of the store are EXPO rooms that demonstrate HDTV (High Definition
Television), home theater systems, multi-room systems, Internet, and the
newest in digital entertainment. The user friendly stores feature interactive
displays and Autorama, a showcase for new car audio technology. The central
service area of the AUDIO/VIDEO EXPOSITION store is an open expanse of chairs
and coffee tables. It's here that broadly-trained sales specialists help
customers draw up personalized plans of home entertainment systems. The East
Palo Alto store will be 28,000 sq. ft. The store is located at 1731 East
Bayshore Blvd., right off the popular University Exit from Highway 101.
WOW! MULTIMEDIA SUPERSTORES are a collaborative effort between THE GOOD
GUYS! and Tower Records. The San Mateo store will be the fifth WOW! store,
and offers customers a broad selection of consumer electronics and
entertainment hardware, along with a huge selection of music and entertainment
software, all in one place. Along with the many interactive displays and
special features, the store is highlighted by a large High Definition TV
(HDTV) wall that displays true High Definition 1080i content. Customers can
see the remarkable HDTV quality in a huge wide-screen format, and can
experience true High Definition content playing all day long. The new WOW!
store is 45,000 sq. ft., with THE GOOD GUYS! comprising 30,000 sq. ft. The
store is adjacent to the popular Hillsdale Mall at 41 West Hillsdale Blvd.
