BASE Consulting Group to Present at The Data Warehousing Institute's Fourth Annual Leadership Conference

OAKLAND, Calif., Oct. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Jonathan Wu, Co-Founder and
Managing Partner at BASE Consulting Group will present "Reconciling the Data
Warehouse" at the Data Warehousing Institute's Fourth Annual Leadership
Conference, November 1-6 at the Omni Rosen Hotel in Orlando, Florida. The
presentation will focus on data process flow from source systems into the data
warehouse, data control points, data integrity through the use of prevent and
detect controls, and the reconciliation process. His topic is one of several
in a track devoted to Data Quality in the Data Warehouse.
"The success of a data warehouse rests with the users' perceptions of it.
If the data is inaccurate or incomplete, user confidence and use of the data
warehouse will diminish. Reconciling the data warehouse provides users and
Information Systems professionals with confidences that the data warehouse
contains quality information and that there are controls in place to detect
data integrity issues," says Wu.
With eleven years of business advisory and systems consulting experience,
Wu contributed to the development of the Data Warehousing Certificate Program
at the University of California, Berkeley Extension and is also a lecturer in
the program. He has presented on Data Warehousing topics at other conferences
throughout the United States including the Business Objects International User
and Oracle Applications User Group conferences. Prior to BASE Consulting
Group, Wu was an Advisory Business Services Manager with
PricewaterhouseCoopers and is a Certified Public Accountant with the State of
California.
