DALLAS, Dec. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Fleming (NYSE: FLM) today announced Ron
Griffin will join the company as Executive Vice President and Chief
Information Officer. Griffin now serves as Senior Vice President and Chief
Information Officer for The Home Depot, Inc. Griffin will join Fleming upon
completion of his current responsibilities in early 2002 and will report to
Fleming Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Mark Hansen.

retail sector.
Bill Marquard, Fleming Executive Vice President and Chief Knowledge
Officer, will continue his responsibilities for leading the Kmart alliance and
supporting the current redesign of Fleming's business processes supported by
technology.
