BOSTON, Dec. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Guests at BURGER KING(R) restaurants
throughout New England and Metro New York contributed $1 to benefit the Jimmy
Fund one million times during August. They did this to support the
restaurants' A Chance for Kids(TM) program and, as a result, raised a
$1 million for pediatric cancer research and treatment at the world-renowned
Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

Since the program's inception in 1999, BURGER KING(R) restaurants have
helped raise more than $2.5 million, which ensures better treatments and
funding for cutting-edge research that benefits all children facing cancer.
More than 530 BURGER KING(R) restaurants in New England and the New York
Metro region participated in the program, which allowed Guests to contribute
$1 to the Jimmy Fund and receive a scratch ticket guaranteed to be a winner.
BURGER KING (R) Guests won prizes ranging from a Medium French Fry to toys and
games from Learning Express to a 2004 Hyundai(R) Santa Fe.
The Jimmy Fund supports the fight against cancer at Boston's Dana-Farber
Cancer Institute helping to raise the chances of survival for children and
adults with cancer around the world. Since 1948, the generosity of tens of
thousands of people has helped the Jimmy Fund save lives by furthering cancer
research and care at Dana-Farber.
