to promote higher education, Colonial Properties Trust (NYSE: CLP) has once
again awarded several college students a unique scholarship, granting the use
of a one-bedroom apartment during the 2003/2004 school year in communities in
which we operate multifamily properties, the total value of which is more than
$90,000.

This year's scholarship recipients are:
-- Lenora Shenee Salter, a senior at Alabama State University in
Montgomery, Alabama majoring in Computer Information Systems, from
Georgiana, Alabama;
-- Jackson Kyle Crisman, a student at Auburn University in Auburn,
Alabama majoring in Finance, from Stone Mountain, Georgia;
-- Evan Wayne Bohammom, a junior at Auburn University in Montgomery,
Alabama majoring in Accounting, from Camden, Alabama;
-- Jeffrey Spencer Stephens, a senior at Samford University in
Birmingham, Alabama majoring in Management, from Memphis, Tennessee;
-- Marsha P. James, a graduate student at The University of Alabama in
Tuscaloosa, Alabama majoring in Finance, from Jackson, Mississippi;
-- Daniel Gallegly, a senior at The University of Alabama at Birmingham
majoring in Finance and Marketing, from Pell City, Alabama;
-- Ashley Weirsten, a senior at The University of Central Florida in
Orlando, Florida majoring in Marketing, from Orlando, Florida;
-- Nicholas Kastanias, a graduate student at The University of Florida in
Orlando, Florida majoring in Real Estate and Urban Analysis, from West
Palm Beach, Florida;
-- Dennis Sabo, a graduate student at The University of Georgia in
Athens, Georgia seeking a Master's Degree in Business Administration,
from Atlanta, Georgia;
-- Ninalee Rosada Brownell, a junior at The University of West Florida in
Pensacola, Florida majoring in Finance from Pace, Florida.
Under the apartment scholarship program, Colonial Properties Trust grants
use of the apartment for one year -- a value of approximately $9,000.
Scholarships were awarded to business students based upon merit who are
majoring in business-related fields of study.
