Reno Air Announces November Traffic

RENO, Nev., Dec. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Reno Air, Inc. (Nasdaq: RENO),
(PCX: RNO) today announced it carried 426,089 passengers in November, which is
a 5.1 percent decrease over the same month last year. The airline flew
227,363,702 revenue passenger miles (RPMs) with a capacity of
372,972,443 available seat miles (ASMs), producing a load factor of 61.0
percent.
"Our traffic decline is attributed largely to one-time events associated
with our cutover to a new SABRE host reservation system in November," said
Reno Air President and CEO Robert Reding. "As stated in our last 10Q, the
conversion created one-time implementation costs and temporary disruption in
our reservation and yield management operations. While we are not able at
this time to quantify the impact, the Company will not meet the current
analyst consensus estimate of breakeven to a slight loss for the fourth
quarter. On the positive side, the switch in reservations systems is an
investment in our future. We are implementing new processes that will
contribute to our bottom line profitability in 1998, including enhancements to
our yield management system."
