DALLAS, Dec. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Edward W. Sample, Chairman and C.E.O. of
Piranha, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: BYTE), announced the completion of a
reorganization plan to integrate recent acquisitions, and to prepare for its
proposed 2001 expansion program through further acquisitions and new product
releases.
"Piranha's management team have just completed a company-wide
restructuring which will optimize our efficiencies and reduce overall annual
expenditures by more than $1,000,000," explained Sample. "These cost
reductions when added to our recent acquisition of the profitable JJT, Inc.
imaging operation and supported by our increased sales of core Piranha
products and services will allow Piranha to achieve its objective of a
cash-flow positive operation for the first quarter of 2001."
The key elements of the Piranha reorganization are as follows;
* Consolidation of all Dallas based operations into the company's
Richardson, Texas office located in the heart of the telecommunications
corridor.
* Transfer of the Dallas based Piranha Byte and Piranha Stream product
development operations to the Company's Grand Rapids, Michigan
facility.
* Integration of the recently acquired JJT, Inc. imaging operation into
the Company's Impact Solutions organization. This consolidation allows
JJT, Inc. to utilize the extensive sales organization and industry
experience of the Impact Solutions team.
* Integration of JJT, Inc.'s science group within the Company's Rogue
River Software organization.
* Consolidation of Piranha, Impact Solutions, Zideo and JJT, Inc. web
operations to reduce redundancies and duplication of efforts.
Mr. Sample went on to say, "the Company has been in discussions with
various entities that could add additional positive cash flow to Piranha's
operations should the discussions be fruitful; however, while on-going, there
is no assurance any of these events will be consummated."
