PITTSBURGH, Dec. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- The apparent low bid by Trumbull
Corporation of $84.2 million will be reviewed in Harrisburg over the next
30 days anticipating a contract award.
Trumbull Corporation has the challenge of completing the repairs to the
Fort Pitt Bridge and Tunnel in a timely manner while allowing traffic back to

said Ray Hack, district engineer, PENNDOT. "PENNDOT has provided construction
milestones to the Trumbull Corporation." The Fort Pitt Bridge and Tunnel
project carries a fine of $100,000 per day.
Additionally, Trumbull Corporation must complete and open the inbound ramp
from the Fort Pitt Bridge to I-376 (Parkway East) by October 31, 2003 or incur
a fine of $47,000 per day.
