with America's most famous finicky cat? Morris Mania of course! Nine lucky
winners, who collected 8,000 `Morris Marks,' for the 9Lives consumer rewards
program Morris Mania, won a weekend trip to L.A. to meet Morris IV at
Universal Studios.
The nine lucky winners include Stanley and Cecelia Slater of Myakka City,
FL, Vincent and Olympia Catuogno of Brooklyn, NY, Jana Moore of Stony Point,
NY, Crystal and Jeremy Schneider of Willard, OH, Vivian Perry of Gilbert, SC,
Michelle and Anthony Burcher of Lanexa, VA, Bill and Daryl Bacon of Riverton,
UT, Rosalie and Charles Fonner of Arbotus, MD and Denise DiPietro of
Somerville, MA.
Morris Mania, the 9Lives consumer rewards program, which kicked off on
May 9, 2000 and concluded on November 1, 2000, encouraged consumers to collect
`Morris Marks' from specially marked cans of 9Lives. Consumers could redeem
their `Morris Marks' for product coupons, Morris merchandise or collect 8,000
`Morris Marks' for the grand prize trip to meet Morris in LA!
"Morris Mania is the largest consumer rewards program in the history of
9Lives. We were delighted to be able to award nine winners and their guests
with a trip to meet Morris IV," said Bobby Joe Walters, Senior Brand Manager

The nine winners won a weekend trip to L.A. and met Morris IV on Saturday,
December 9, 2000. Winners and their guests had Morris IV as their tour guide
through some of his favorite sights that included a day at Universal Studios.
Morris IV made his "purrsonal" debut in New York on May 9, 2000 as the new
spokescat for 9Lives cat food -- carrying on the 32-year tradition of charm,
style, finickiness and wit. Morris IV, a resident of L.A., lives with his
handler and trainer, Rose Ordile.
This past year, Morris IV's recent activities included a $10,000 donation
to The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) in
New York for National Adopt-a-Shelter Cat Month in June, the announcement of
