Official Fiesta Bowl Web Site Has A 'Dash' More Fun

'www.Fiesta-Bowl.com' Is The Place For All Game-Related Action

PHOENIX, Dec. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- With the 27th Tostitos Fiesta Bowl less
than three weeks away, fans can dash to the Cox Interactive Media's (CIM's)
Official http://www.Fiesta-Bowl.com web site and find everything they need to know
about the big game, as well as chat with other gridiron fans, score cool
prizes and vote for the team they think will win.
"The Fiesta Bowl web site offers something for everyone regardless of
whether you're a Kansas State Wildcat or a Syracuse Orangemen fan," said John
Triplett, general manager of CIM.
The dash between Fiesta and Bowl in the web site address represents a dash
more fun for Internet users who access the site. http://www.Fiesta-Bowl.com covers
everything from player statistics, and a Tostitos Fiesta Bowl quiz, to must-
see Valley of the Sun sites for visitors. It even gives fans the opportunity
to vote for the team they think will win. A running tally will keep score on
the votes until game time on December 31.
Another fun, unique feature is the "Kick-It" game. Aspiring athletes and
"coach potatoes" alike can attempt to kick a game-winning field goal. If
successful, you'll score cool Tostitos Fiesta Bowl gear. If not...get ready
to pack your bags and move on to the next team.
Statistics are an integral part of any football match up, so the Teams
section examines the strengths and weaknesses of the two teams by checking out
the rosters, coaching staff and statistics of Syracuse and Kansas State. This
site also answers burning questions like "Whose offensive line weighs the
most?" and "What are the words to that team's fight song?"
For the trivia buff, one highlight is the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl history
section featuring game summaries and video clips of memorable plays from the
26 previous Fiesta Bowls. The history section also profiles members of the
1997 Tostitos Fiesta Bowl Committee.
A special Calendar section provides the low down on all the special events
throughout the state of Arizona leading up to Tostitos Fiesta Bowl. Special
sections on the nationally televised MicroAge Fiesta Bowl Parade and the giant
New Year's Eve Tempe Tostitos Fiesta Bowl Block Party will give you all the
details on when and where to be. For all the fans who will be visiting the
Valley of the Sun for the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl Football Classic, a special
Valley Links section highlights the best places to eat, see and be seen.
Before, during and after the game, fans can visit the chat room to show
support for their team or just let others know where to go for pre- and post-
game festivities.
"This web site is a tremendous vehicle to promote the game as well as all
the community activities surrounding the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl Football
Classic," said Doug Blouin, associate director of marketing for the Fiesta
Bowl. "It also provides a very beneficial and informative service for the
out-of-town fan."
Creator of the Fiesta Bowl Web Site, Cox Interactive Media (CIM), ranks as
the nation's largest provider of comprehensive local content on the Internet,
surpassing every traditional media company and on-line provider. CIM uses
state-of-the-art graphics and Internet technology to create innovative and
imaginative ways to build communities on the Internet for local and national
advertisers to engage their target audiences. Atlanta-based CIM was formed in
1996 by Cox Enterprises.
