VIENNA, Va., Dec. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- GRC International (NYSE: GRH) today
announced a new subsidiary, GRC Technical Services Company (TSC). Derived from
Management Consulting & Research Inc. (MCR), which was acquired by GRCI in
September 1999, GRCI Technical Services Company will serve the niche staffing
market, offering a broad range of services including hardware engineering;
software and systems support and maintenance; program management, acquisition,
and logistics support; network operations; and web site development. This
addition to GRC International expands the company's array of technology
service offerings and target market segments.
Mike Bryan, former chief financial officer of MCR, will lead the group as
its vice president and general manager. Dennis Macdonald, former vice
president of logistics with TRW's Systems and Information Technology Group,
will assist him. "I am confident that the leadership of Mike Bryan and Dennis
Macdonald will produce a strong and growing business that will contribute to
GRC International's goals for revenue growth and increased profit margins,"
said GRCI Executive Vice President and COO Michael Stolarik. "This new
subsidiary was created to be responsive to elements of the professional and
technical services market for which neither GRCI nor MCR represents
traditional matches. In essence, while other parts of the company take on more
of a solutions focus, TSC will maintain a staffing focus."
The new subsidiary primarily will serve customers in the federal
government, with extensions to the private sector, local government agencies,
and large prime contractors. GRC Technical Services Company plans to hire
approximately 150 new employees in the next year and will operate out of
offices in McLean, Va.
