Public Relations Society of America - Detroit Chapter Announces 2004 Officers and Board of Directors

                   Vallee-Smith Named New Chapter President

    DETROIT, Dec. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- At an annual meeting held recently at the
Detroit Yacht Club on Belle Isle, The Public Relations Society of America -
Detroit Chapter (PRSA Detroit) celebrated a year's worth of achievements and
announced the unanimous approval of its slate of officers and Board of
Directors for 2004.
    Outgoing PRSA Detroit President, Mary Henige, APR, announced the new
officers for 2004, which include Lisa Vallee-Smith, APR, president and CEO of
Airfoil Public Relations, as the new PRSA Detroit president.
    "It is an honor and a privilege to be selected to serve as the new
president of PRSA Detroit," said Vallee-Smith.  "I have some big shoes to
fill, as the presidents before me have done such amazing work for the
organization, but I am excited and ready for the challenge."
    Vallee-Smith has been active in PRSA Detroit for 20 years and has served
the Detroit chapter on the fundraising, annual meeting, and state conference
committees.
    In addition to Vallee-Smith, the following individuals were named as 2004
PRSA Detroit officers: Vice President - Jennifer Day, APR; Treasurer - Roy
Richardson; Secretary - Glen Foldessy, APR; and Past President - Mary Henige,
APR.
    PRSA Detroit's 2004 Board of Directors also were named at the annual
meeting.  They include: Patricia Adanti Joy, APR; John J. Bailey; Richard
Donley; Susan Ferraro; Martin Habalewsky, APR; Curtis McAllister; Melissa
Motschall, Ph.D., APR; Dave Roznowski, APR; Kim Skeltis, APR; Sharyl Smith,
APR and Dan Vecchioni.
