Agreement calls for Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire, Maintenance and Upgrades

NEEDHAM, Mass., Dec. 17 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/-- PTC (Nasdaq: PMTC), the
product development company(TM), today announced that the U.S. Department of
Energy's National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) is moving to PTC's
new Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire and upgrading and expanding use of the solution as
part of a $10 million, three-and-a-half-year agreement signed in September
2003.
The NNSA is responsible for certifying the safety and predictable
performance of the US stockpile of existing nuclear weapons. The NNSA applies

nationwide, all of which are using PTC solutions. Participating NNSA sites

agreement include the Oak Ridge National Laboratory, the Idaho National
Engineering and Environmental Laboratory, and the Princeton Plasma Physics
Laboratory.
"We have been working with NNSA for 12 years and this new purchase is a
direct reflection of the organization's satisfaction with our partnership,
excitement regarding our Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire release and our Product
