HOUSTON, Dec. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- The Board of Directors of Ocean Energy,
Inc. (NYSE: OEI) has approved the payment of a quarterly dividend on the
company's common stock beginning in 2001.
A dividend of four cents per share was declared on the company's
outstanding common stock, payable on January 19, 2001, to stockholders of
record at the close of business on January 5, 2001.
The amount of future dividends for OEI common stock will be determined on
a quarterly basis, and will depend on earnings, financial condition, capital
requirements and other factors.
