Aleris Announces Completion of Asset Purchase

Inc. (NYSE: ARS) announced today the completion of its purchase of certain
assets of Ormet Corporation.  These assets include assets within the Hannibal,
Ohio rolling mill as well as assets of the Ben's Run recycling facility in
Friendly, West Virginia and Speciality Blanks Inc. in Terre Haute, Indiana.
