NEW YORK, Dec. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Metropolitan Jewish Hospice (MJH) is
pleased to welcome John Carter, MD, as Team Medical Director. Dr. Carter
joins Paulina Kim, MD, Hospice Medical Director, in ongoing efforts to
expand services offered by MJH throughout the greater metropolitan area.
Dr. Carter has numerous goals for his new position, including working
with health care professionals throughout the community to increase
awareness of MJH's services. He strives to reach out to underserved
populations to offer education and resources related to hospice. Dr. Carter
will also provide medical care for hospice patients, and he is responsible
for overseeing the care provided by hospice staff.

Prior to joining MJH, Dr. Carter served as the Co-Director of the
Center on Ethics for the Jewish Home and Hospital in New York. He was also
an Assistant Professor in the Department of Geriatrics at Mount Sinai
Medical Center.
Dr. Carter received his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College
in Philadelphia, and completed a geriatrics fellowship at Mount Sinai.
