Columbia Bank Announces Promotion of Mike Nelson to Vice President

    TACOMA, Wash., Dec. 21 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Columbia Bank
announced the promotion of Assistant Vice President and Human Resources
Officer Mike Nelson to Vice President. He has been with Columbia Bank since
2001.

    Nelson has over 13 years of Human Resources experience, and was
previously with Harborstone Credit Union and Boeing Employees Credit Union.
He is a graduate of Central Washington University with a Bachelor's degree
in Political Science. He is also Certified as a Human Resources
Professional through the Society of Human Resource Management.
    Mr. Nelson is a member of the Washington Business Association Human
Resource Committee, a board member of the South Puget Sound Human Resource
Chapter and serves as a Steering Committee Member for the Milliman
Compensation Survey. He volunteers on Columbia Bank's United Way Committee
and for Junior Achievement.
    He is a native of Washington and has lived in Puyallup for the last 8
years. He is married with two sons.
