OnDisplay, a leading provider of e-commerce infrastructure software for
building and managing e-business portals and e-marketplaces, provides RMI.NET
with its CenterStage(R) product suite. CenterStage is incorporated with
Assemble! to integrate publisher content and advertiser product information
into a comprehensive e-Business Portal, or commerce community site.
"OnDisplay's technology gives us the ability to successfully provide our
commerce community product and services suite, Assemble!, to the publishing
industry," said Douglas H. Hanson, chairman and chief executive officer for
RMI.NET. "The result is a complete e-Business Portal solution that enables
publishers to develop and enhance their online presence and e-commerce
offerings."
Assemble! is being offered as a turnkey solution to magazine publishers,
bringing together readers and advertisers for content and commerce exchange.
It combines the components of a traditional web portal -- search engine, stock
information and daily news -- with a magazine's proprietary content, such as
articles and advertising, and the capabilities for e-commerce exchange.
OnDisplay's CenterStage technology plays a key role in the product offering by
aggregating and integrating information in any format, from an unlimited
number of disparate sources.
RMI.NET recently announced Golf Illustrated as the first customer of
Assemble! Golf Illustrated has been in publication since 1914 and recently
debuted its Golf Illustrated On Line commerce community site.
"RMI.NET provides a compelling solution to publishers looking to grow
their online presence. OnDisplay's CenterStage software augments RMI.NET's
technology by enabling the delivery of the right information at the right time
from any destination," said Mark Pine, chief executive officer for OnDisplay.
"We are pleased to have been selected as part of this technology initiative
and to deliver the most complete portal solutions to publishers."
