13 September 2000 -- Heinz is set to capitalise on seasonal uplift with
major new product launches and promotions across its frozen desserts
portfolio.
Heinz is launching four new frozen desserts and various price and pack
promotions under its Jane Asher, American Dream, and McVitie's brands which
will appear in store from the end of September.
Jane Asher
Heinz is launching two new variants to its range of Jane Asher indulgent
desserts -- Chocolate Heaven and Wild About Berries. Both carry an MRRP of
2.99 British pounds sterling and are positioned as `special occasion'
desserts. Jane Asher Praline & Chocolate Roulade will continue to carry an
MMRP of 3.99 pounds.
American Dream
Party Banoffee Bonanza will feature a heavy weight promotion offering an
instant win mechanic on pack and an MMRP price promotion of 2.99 pounds.
McVitie's
Heinz is launching McVitie's Double Chocolate Party Cheesecake which will
carry an MRRP of 2.99 pounds. This launch follows the success of the
McVitie's party size cheesecake range -- including Devonshire Strawberries &
Cream Party Cheesecake.
McVitie's Devonshire Sherry Trifle returns for Christmas following its
successful launch last year.
