NASHVILLE, Tenn., Dec. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- After earning rave reviews for
her Fearless 2001 tour, platinum-selling Mercury artist Terri Clark is back in
the studio this month beginning work on her fifth album. Clark is in the
studio with producer Byron Gallimore, who is well known for his work with
Faith Hill, Tim McGraw and Jo Dee Messina.

"I am very optimistic about working with Byron. It's been a great
experience," Clark said, after reviewing the first rough tracks. "During our
first meeting, Byron told me he saw it as a neat opportunity because he heard
me as a more 'country' sounding female, and it would be fun to work with that
aspect in mind.
"Our first three songs turned out great, and I can't wait to hear what the
rest of the songs will sound like. We are going back into the studio in late
February to cut more songs after we've had time to find additional material,
and I've had time to write more songs."
After touring the last six months in the U.S. and Canada, Clark is taking
a holiday break, heading home to Canada for the holidays with her family. In
January and February, she will be writing and recording material for the new
album. Although a schedule isn't set in stone, Clark expects the new album to
be released in the fall with a single possibly hitting radio in June.
