COLUMBUS, Ohio, Dec. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Nationwide Financial Services,
Inc. (NYSE: NFS) today announced that it has moved all of its personal
investor account information and educational resources to nationwide.com. Now,
all of these resources and planning tools can be accessed from one central
location. The move introduces a new look, increased speed, streamlined
navigation and information written in easier-to-understand terms.
What's new
Besides changing bookmarks to nationwide.com, the Investor Service Center,
the online source for account information and transactions, has undergone some
recent improvements to provide a better experience including:
- Enhanced privacy protections. The site incorporates security features
to ensure account confidentiality, including password protection,
Secure Sockets Layer (https://) safe-transfer technology and session
timeouts.
- Faster downloads. Web pages now load faster and transactions will go
through more quickly.
- Simplified navigation. Easy-to-understand navigational tabs, colorful
images, and consumer-friendly information make moving throughout the
site easier and enables quick identification of key information.
- Increased accessibility. Improvements have been made to better meet the
needs of individuals with disabilities by ensuring assistive tools,
like screen readers, are compatible with the site.
Additional enhancements to the Investor Service Center will continue
throughout 2006.
What's staying the same
- Access to accounts and other personal information. The ability to
access accounts, complete a transaction or check fund performance
remains available through the Investor Service Center.
- Login information. Visitors will continue to access the site with their
existing user names and passwords.
- Investment Professional content. Plan Sponsors, plan administrators and
investment professionals will continue to access the same, reliable
information they use to manage their client accounts at
nationwidefinancial.com.
"We think these changes make the site easier to use and provide better
access to the tools and information needed to make important financial
decisions," said Gordon Hecker, vice president and chief marketing officer of
Nationwide Financial.
As another enhancement to Nationwide Financial's electronic service
capabilities, life insurance and annuity customers are now able to receive
their statements and other regulatory documents by e-mail. By signing up to
receive these documents electronically, customers will no longer receive paper
copies and instead will now have access to current and past account
information anytime, anywhere -- no more digging through paper files. To sign
up, account holders need to visit nationwide.com and log on to the Access My
Account page.
To view what your clients will now see, investment professionals can visit
the newly redesigned nationwide.com or contact their relationship manager.
